It Is Our Mission To Give Every Woman The Beautiful, Natural Looking, Stress-Free Eyebrows They’ve Always Wanted & Deserve

What Is A Cover-Up?

It is just that. The covering up of work that has been done by another artist other than Vanessa Luna at LUNAMAR Beauty & Brows. This does not necessarily mean that your previous work is bad. It may very well not be, but you may be looking for a new artist, and love the natural looking results we provide.

If you have had your eyebrows done before, at any point in your lifetime, your first appointment with Vanessa Luna will be considered a cover-up appointment, whether or not your previous work is still visible to you or not.  The reason for this is due to the fact that there are several variables that can affect your new work, and you need to be assessed by Vanessa Luna before booking an appointment with her.

This specific client had previous ombre brow work done a few years back. She was looking for a thicker, natural, fluffier looking eyebrow, and came to us to give her the brows she desired. Her previous pigmentation had faded enough to allow for new work. She unfortunately was left with scar tissue from her previous artist, but we were still able to give her excellent, natural looking results after two microblading appointments.

Why Your Eyebrows Need To Be Assessed

Regrettably, not every individual seeking to get a cover-up by Vanessa Luna is able to. We aim to give you the beautiful, natural looking results you are seeking, and we only accept cover-up clients if we believe we can deliver the excellent results we give all of our clients.

More often than not we do agree to take on a cover-up client, but there are a few reasons why we may decide to decline. Just know that it is our mission to help everyone we can, and we will only decline if we believe excellent results are not attainable through a cover-up appointment.

The three main reasons are: Your eyebrows are too dark/saturated with pigment, your shape is not fixable with a cover-up, or you have too much scar tissue and pigment will possibly not retain.

This specific client was seeking to cover-up old work that had left her with red pigmentation and scar tissue. She wanted a thicker eyebrow, with microblading hairstrokes that look more natural, as compared to the previous work she had received. We chose to go with a microblading plus soft shading appointment (aka combo brow), to be able to cover up the red pigment left behind. She had amazing results, and only needed one appointment to complete her desired results.

This specific client unfortunately received an ombre brow service by her previous artist, when she was looking for a more natural result through microblading. She also did not like her current shape. We were able to give her the hairlike look she was looking for, as well as give her a shape that was more suitable for her face type and features. We were able to accomplish this in two appointments.
